Pen Fundraiser Update

Our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude for the outcome of this pen fundraiser! Doug's dad worked tirelessly to make pens and fill all of the orders we received during the Christmas fundraiser. Like he said, "Who could have known besides the Lord what this would turn into and the provision God had planned through this project?" We are thrilled to report that roughly HALF of our remaining financial need has been met!! We want to express our thanks to the Lord and to Steve and to all who ordered pens! Steve has an ongoing business making these beautiful pens, so should you need a pen as a gift for any occasion, feel free to order from this site or contact us directly, as he will continue to donate the proceeds from pens ordered here to our adoption.

When we first began AJ's adoption, we couldn't imagine how we would pay for it as we were already in the middle of our first adoption. God has faithfully provided every step of the way and we are so thankful that we stepped out in faith without knowing HOW God would provide - only that He would. So many will not even attempt adoption because of the cost involved, but our family is living proof that God provides for His kids to come into families. We don't have to have it all figured out ahead of time, as that is not faith. :)

We are still trusting God for the remaining $5,000 and are looking forward with anticipation to see how He will provide! Our adoption agency has agreed to take tax deductible donations towards our adoption without charging us any administrative fees. If God leads you to help with this, the address is in the sidebar.

As an update on the process, we are still waiting for news of the assignment committee meeting. This has not happened up until now and has been delayed, we believe, in large part due to the upcoming elections in ES. Politically things are very interesting there right now, and we are praying that this does not delay our little girl's homecoming unnecessarily. Please pray with us that officials will sign papers, even if they are being voted out of their positions shortly! :)
